Cooking Class & Culinary Experience Agreement

This Cooking Class & Culinary Experience Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Casa Revive LLC dba Heaven Hills Kitchen (“Heaven Hills Kitchen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the individual making the reservation (“Guest”) on behalf of themselves and, where applicable, their participating group.

2. RESERVATION & PAYMENT

A $150 deposit is required to reserve and confirm the requested date and time. A reservation is not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment instructions provided by Heaven Hills Kitchen.

Payments may be made by approved online credit card payment or Venmo, as instructed at the time of booking.

If the required balance is not received by the applicable due date, Heaven Hills Kitchen reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

3. CLASS EXPERIENCE

Heaven Hills Kitchen provides a hands-on culinary experience designed to introduce guests to Puerto Rican food, ingredients, cooking techniques, and culinary traditions.

The experience may include food preparation, cooking demonstrations, hands-on participation, dining, and other culinary activities depending on the selected class.

Menus and ingredients may occasionally be modified based on seasonality, availability, quality, or circumstances outside our control. When substitutions are necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide comparable ingredients or dishes.

4. ARRIVAL & LATE ARRIVALS

Guests should arrive at the scheduled time unless otherwise instructed.

Because ingredients, staffing, and food preparation are coordinated around the scheduled class time, late arrivals may result in a shortened experience. Classes generally cannot be extended beyond the scheduled completion time to accommodate late arrivals.

Guests arriving substantially late may miss portions of the class without refund.

5. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

The $150 reservation deposit is non-refundable but may be applied toward a rescheduled class when the Guest provides at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled class may result in the forfeiture of the deposit and any other amounts already committed toward food, staffing, or preparation.

If Heaven Hills Kitchen must cancel a class because of severe weather, utility interruption, illness, safety concerns, or another circumstance that prevents us from reasonably providing the experience, the Guest will be offered a rescheduled date or a refund of payments made for the affected class.

6. PARTICIPANT COUNT

Pricing and food preparation are based on the confirmed number of participants.

The Guest must notify Heaven Hills Kitchen in advance of any requested changes to the number of participants. Additional participants are subject to availability and additional charges.

Reductions in the number of participants after food, ingredients, or staffing have been committed may not result in a reduction of the total price.

7. FOOD ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Guests are responsible for informing Heaven Hills Kitchen before the class of all known food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other food-related concerns for every participant in their group.

While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed dietary needs, Heaven Hills Kitchen is not an allergen-free kitchen. Ingredients and equipment may come into contact with common allergens, including nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and other ingredients.

We cannot guarantee that any food or preparation area will be completely free from allergens or cross-contact.

Participants with severe or life-threatening allergies should carefully consider whether participation is appropriate for them.

8. ALCOHOL

If alcoholic beverages are included or permitted as part of the experience, alcohol will only be served to or consumed by individuals legally permitted to consume alcohol under applicable Puerto Rico law.

Heaven Hills Kitchen reserves the right to refuse alcohol service or participation to any individual who appears intoxicated or whose behavior creates a safety concern.

Guests are responsible for arranging safe transportation following the experience.

9. PARTICIPATION & KITCHEN SAFETY

Cooking classes involve inherent risks associated with normal kitchen activities, including the use of knives, heat, open flames, hot cookware, appliances, glassware, and potentially slippery surfaces.

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Heaven Hills Kitchen and to use reasonable care while participating.

Heaven Hills Kitchen may restrict a participant from an activity if we reasonably believe their participation creates a safety risk to themselves or others.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Certain cooking activities may be restricted based on a participant’s age or ability.

10. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By participating in the cooking class, each participant acknowledges that cooking and food preparation involve ordinary and inherent risks.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with their participation, including risks arising from handling cooking equipment, knives, hot surfaces, food, and kitchen appliances.

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

11. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during the experience.

To the extent permitted by law, Heaven Hills Kitchen is not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged personal property unless caused by circumstances for which liability cannot legally be excluded.

12. CONDUCT

We want every guest to enjoy a welcoming, safe, and respectful experience.

Heaven Hills Kitchen reserves the right to remove or refuse continued participation to anyone engaging in dangerous, disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.

A participant removed for such behavior will not be entitled to a refund.

13. PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO

Heaven Hills Kitchen may occasionally photograph or record portions of culinary experiences for promotional purposes.

Guests who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos should notify Heaven Hills Kitchen before the beginning of the class.

We will make reasonable efforts to honor these requests.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

Heaven Hills Kitchen will not be responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, hurricanes, flooding, government restrictions, utility failures, transportation disruptions, natural disasters, or similar events.

When reasonably possible, we will work with the Guest to reschedule the experience.

15. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted according to the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

16. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement represents the understanding between the Guest and Heaven Hills Kitchen regarding the booked culinary experience and supersedes prior discussions concerning the terms addressed herein.

Any modification to this Agreement must be agreed to by both parties.

GUEST ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Agreement. I agree to the reservation, payment, cancellation, food allergy, safety, and participation terms described above.

I further confirm that I am authorized to make this reservation and agree to communicate applicable class rules, allergy requirements, and safety information to the other members of my group.
